There are a number of ways a student may begin doing research within the department. Primarily, a student can look at the Research Assistants Wanted board in the main hallway of North Quad. This board displays the contact information of those faculty members and graduate students who are currently conducting research and are in need of undergraduate assistants. Students interested in helping with the research can then make the first step and contact the researcher. Of course contacting the research does not ensure a spot on the researchers team but it definitely can get the ball rolling! A second way in which a student may begin research is by looking at the Faculty Research board in the main hallway of North Quad. On this board, faculty have posted a journal article or other piece of literature that they have authored, giving an indication of their current research interests.
