Terrain, vegetation, buildings, and fences can reduce this. For the very best range, hold the transmitter away from your body. Back to top Q – How long does a transmitter battery last? A – This depends, of course, on how much you use it, but you can expect at least six months from the 9-volt battery in your transmitter under normal use. Many people experience even more.
