How do I get SMOKE or DOG smell out of furniture??
At work we use a steam cleaner with a cloth to wick out stains and odors. Placing a sheet or towel on the couch and using a steam iron will do the same. We found the only safe odor remover is simple white vinegar diluted with water in a spray bottle. The vinegar kills bacteria that causes odors. Some office workers are allergic, and sicken by even the pleasant scent of Febreeze. Just put a tablespoon of white vinegar, baking soda, in spray bottle of water.
Clean the upholstery with an upholstery cleaner (foam or liquid). It will get rid of odors and also remove stains and accumulated dirt. If you have a Little Green Machine you can use it on your sofas,chairs, etc. You’ll be amazed to see how much dirt you remove, and they’ll look really clean and smell good. That is a lot better than covering the odors with another odor.
