How do I get rid the the extreme tension in my shoulder blades?
I agree with jujube, however I would like to add that it is probably a good idea to use a heating pad for about 15 minutes or so before doing the exercises as that will help them loosen up a bit. Also using a heating pad can be used for pain as it helps relax the muscles. A hot bath can be helpful as well. I hope you feel better soon! Michelle PS: If it gets really bad, you may want to see your doctor. Physical therapy is very helpful with this type of thing and they do massage, use ultrasound, give exercise programs, and other ways of helping it. I have physical therapy 2-3 times a year for it because I have chronic problems in neck and shoulder and I also use a TENS unit and Theracane, which were ordered by my physical therapist.
