How do I get rid of the ads imposed on email list of SBC/Yahoo?

I am extremely annoyed by them too. The ads make the mail s l o w and cause it to lock up and refresh constantly. And I have AT&T/Yahoo internet, so I PAY for my mail, and I still have ads. I wrote to them with no response. I use Firefox and I tried AdBlock Plus (a free add on). It took away the ads, but I couldn’t send any email–the screen just hung. Yahoo mail is just as slow on IE as it is on Firefox, so that’s not it. I know this isn’t a real answer, but I’m telling you what I already tried that didn’t work to save you time.
