Ge a daisy-grubber tool which will winkle them out without making a big hole. Go round the lawn and remove them. Put corpses on the compost heap. Keep the bucket and daisy-grubber handy, don’t put it away thinking you’ve done the job. During the next few days/weeks, watch out for the ones you missed, and for the ones which have germinated from previous seeding, which will reveal themselves by flowering, and get them quickly before they seed. The bare patches in the lawn will soon grow over, or if there are a lot of them in one area, you could scatter some grass seed mixed with John Innes no 2 to get the grass going again. We have two lawn areas in our garden, and used to have loads of daisies on both of them.
