How do I get rid of Customized notification icons Vista?

I click on Taskbar & Start Menu Properties under Notifications there is an Icons where you can customize by hiding the icons well in my it as current icons and past icons which some I do not want any more e.g. uninstalled software etc I can hide them when inactive or hide or show but when i click on the one’s I need to show do not how can I sort this out please cheers lloyd mortiss.
