How do i get rid of an ear ache and a sore throat?
If you have a heating pad, lay your sore ear on the heating pad to draw the fluid out…and, it will help to sooth your ear ache. If you don’t have a heating pad, then warm a towel in the dryer on HOT and lay your head on that… There are ear drops you can purchase at the drug store that will numb your ear. Be sure to take all of your antibiotic and take 2 ibuprofen (name brands are Advil or Motrin) every 6 hours for the pain. When bathing, try to keep water from entering your war canal until the pain subsides…and stay away from any anti-histamines (like Benadryl, etc.) because that will stuff you up and hold the infection in your inner ear… it needs to drain to heal.
