How do I get recertified (or a renewal) for Food Manager Certification in Wisconsin?

(A) For recertification you need to take an approved recertification course, about a 4-hour course, or retake and pass the original certification exam. Some of the courses that are approved are the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA), Tavern League of Wisconsin and most of the Technical Schools in Wisconsin. A complete list of approved courses can be received from our office by phone at 608-266-2835 by mail at: P O Box 2659, Madison, WI 53701-2659 or by email at Barbara.Hellpap@wisconsin.gov. Once you have done that you need to submit proof of having taken the recertification course or that you have retaken and passed the exam along with either a renewal form and $10, or an application and $10. Your certificate will then be renewed for 5 years.
