How do i get narrow minded people to stop annoying me with there conventional,hypocritical, relative ideals?
I was with you 100%… until I saw your example. Although you are basically right, statistically speaking the smartest people are going to have the degree. So odds are more times than not if a person with a degree is talking to a non-degree holding individual, they probably ARE more intelligent. That does not necessarily justify their assuming it is so, because there are obviously exceptions, but it is not totally without reason that someone would chance the assumption. More important than that is the content of your specific argument on a specific issue. If someone is giving you a hypocritical, relative ideal to make a point, you have to counter with a concrete, logical argument of your own. If you are doing that, then you win. If you are not, then you’re basically asking for the “narrow-minded people” to continue to annoy you. Without a specific example, no one here can really say which case it really is. For all we know you’re equally narrow-minded.
