How do I get my “non-mainstream-styled” bands from Europe or the US into the Chn. market?
No one will really know without trying but it is a double bladded sword. I am sure you won’t come far with them if they are at least not successfull in their home market. Rock music isn’t that popular in China yet. Even if you come up something with some established acts like Nightwish or HIM, they might be quite big in European and made it to land on the charts there, but here in China only some few underground kids has ever heard something about them. The chances are far better for EVENAESENCE or Avril Alvagne. But again, rock music is still something too small to catch the attention of the mainstream media or music industry in China.
