How do I get my money back for stag weekend that I could not attend due to illness?
Is the stag weekend yours (are you the groom) or are you a fellow stag? If so see if there is anyone that can sell your place to. If you’re the groom, that is pretty bad luck – 6 weeks to cancel is a joke when most places (such as hotels, b&B’s etc say 24hrs). But you may have had to sign some terms and conditions and if this is included you’re in the proverbial. But then I guess that’s how they make their money. ‘They have paid their suppliers’ is frankly blsht. Most suppliers will be on 30 day terms. How many companies pay up front for work or supplies that haven’t even been done or used yet, let alone not for another what 4 – 6 weeks? The only way you can reclaim it from your credit card is if you suggest the payment was fraudulent. As it wasn’t you might have a hard time proving this…
