You can’t. U7’s Voodoo memory manager is incompatable with EMM386, which is required by the SB Live card’s Dos drivers. The best solution to date is to have a second soundcard which is compatible with U7. This problem appears to occur with most modern PCI soundcards. Please let me know if you find one that works. Note that the program to allow U7 and SI to run in Windows (see 11.2.1) bypasses this problem. • 11.2.4 Q: So how do I improve the sound in Ultima 7 then?
