How do I get my dog to stop barking at strangers in my house?
Never give treats when he barks, you encourange the barking, that is what you must do: When you see that he is about to bark, take his attention on you with a toy or a treat but not for just one second… tell to him watch me loudly(not screaming) and put your hand with the treat next to your eye, say again watch me and when the passenger/animal pass give him the treat for his calm behaviour if he barks simply dont give him the treat and wait for the other passenger. Eventually he will get the message and if you only do 5-10 minute training of this every day until he is fully trained there is 99% guarantee that he is going to stop barking to ANYONE!!!
