Table foods are a lot of new textures that he isn’t used to. Remember the first time you gave him baby cereal? He mostly likely spit it out. He didn’t like the texture. For now, keep giving him jarred food. Give him a great variety of foods. I really liked Earth’s Best brand. Try giving him the 3rd foods (some texture). My little boy just loves the spagetti and cheese that they have, (it really has a lot of carrot in it). As for starting him on other foods, you may want to use an empty glass jar and spoon “table foods” to him out of it. This would work well with banana pieces. Also eat a piece yourself and show him what “mommy” eats. Here is a list of foods that you can either try now, or work up to.
