How do I get mp3 player output level to match phono input level (for use in a jukebox)?
If by “phono” you mean an input designed to connect a turntable to, you don’t want to connect anything but a turntable to that input because it’s most likely RIAA equalized which will overemphasize the bass and treble quite a bit and sound unnatural for anything except a vinyl record. If you have a regular line input that’s not labelled “phono” then you need a small preamplifier to boost the signal out of the mp3 player. Something like this should do the trick (I own this one and use it to convert old vinyl and cassettes to CD and it works well) http://www.amazon.com/TC-740A-Variable-I… TCC makes a whole line of these so you may want to look at others as well.
