How do I get life experience credit for on-the-job work?
If you have performed welding in the workplace, you may be able to get life experience credit. Ask your adviser, an instructor, or stop by the school office for the necessary form and instructions. This form is to be completed by your supervisor and certifies the type and length of job experience. After we review your application, you may be asked to meet with the course instructor for an interview, written test, or a hands-on test before being granted credit. There is a fee charged for each course for which you apply for credit, whether or not your experience is approved as a substitute.
