They probably weren’t ready first of all… or find out what kind of kitten food they were eating! they might just be protesting and wondering what the heck you are putting in front of them! There is also something that is called second step made for kitties, it helps them move from milk to wet food, you can find it at Petsmart I know for sure, but I’m sure other places have it too. Also sometimes if you microwave the wet food just a tiny bit then they will smell it (make sure its not to hot you dont want to burn them). Also don’t use cow milk for them, we are a kitten/cat rescue and our vets recommend goat’s milk. It works well for them and doesn’t cost even close to what real kitten formula costs. We just warm it to room temp and let them have at it, just make sure you take it away so it doesn’t go bad because they will try to drink it up later (silly cats). Also, we had some that wouldn’t eat the kind of kitten food we like because the pieces are just too big! For the little tiny mo

Woah. I don’t know the age, but maybe they weren’t ready to wean. If that is the case, you may need to get to a pet shop and buy some cans of KMR formula. You should never, ever give cow’s milk to any cat or kitten, ever. It is dangerous as heck to them, and can cause some really serious issues. All cats are lactose intolerant. They get bad bloating and pain, and can even have worse effects. You could try feeding them a proper raw diet, instead. Please do your research on it first, though, and don’t just drop some roadkill in front of the poor things, lol. See, the kittens would normally see their mother eat and then they would trust the food. I don’t understand why they gave you the kittens before they were already eating solid food on their own. If the kittens were younger than 8 weeks, they really should still be with their mother 🙁 Good luck! When in doubt, please PLEASE go see a vet!

Try soaking the kitten food in water to make it soft, and then putting some milk in with it. Though kittens shouldn’t be fed just plain cows milk.

soak the kitten food in milk. Slowly start using less and less milk as the kittens become more accustomed to eating solid foods. Works every time!

Try mixing a quality meat canned food with meat baby food and heating it slightly in the microwave (be sure to stir to avoid hot spots). You may have to dip your finger in the mixture and place a bit in their mouths. But they definitely need to be eating solids if they are away from their mother. I’m astonished that they have lived any length of time on milk, especially cow’s milk, as cats are lactose intolerant. Don’t waste your time trying to get them to eat dry food.
