Are you looking for wireless or hard wire internet? Hardwired = Buy an ethernet cord and plug it into your router. If you don’t have a router and only have a modem, you will either need to buy a router so you can have two or more computers on the internet at the same time or unplug one and plug in the other and switch off between the two. If you want wireless first see if your modem has a built-in wireless gateway. If so, you can hook your laptop up via wireless. If no built-in wireless gate way, you need to go out and buy a wireless router. There are other ways to get internet like sharing your internet through your desktop computer but its very in-depth and usually not worth it. Just stick with one of the two methods above.
