First, learn Epona’s Song and become an adult. Go to Lon Lon Ranch, talk to Ingo and pay to ride a horse. Once inside the corral, play Epona’s song and Epona will go to Link. Ride Epona until the time is up, then ride a second time. While on the horse the second time, talk to Ingo to be challenged to a race. Beat Ingo around the corral two times in a row to get the horse. To leave the ranch, ride quickly towards the fence Ingo is standing behind and go faster to make Epona jump over it.
