How do I get copyright clearance to use any of the pictures found with the Astronomical Image Library?
Be aware that many of the images you find with our search engine are protected by copyright. Before using pictures you find with our service for any purpose (particularly commercial use), you must check with the copyright owner for that picture. In most cases, you should be able to find the proper contact person by exploring the web page that the picture is found on. Do not ask us for copyright clearance for any of the images, since it isn’t ours to give.
