How do I get beach waves with SUPER straight hair?

0

I have naturally straight hair that doesn’t hold a curl well, so to get beachy waves, I do one of two things: (1) When my hair is wet, I put it into one or two braids, let it air dry, then remove the braid(s) when hair is dry. (2) When hair is wet, I towel dry, then apply mousse. I then use a hairdryer to completely dry my hair. Afterwards, I separate my hair down the middle into two sections. For each section, twist the hair until it forms a bun, then secure with an elastic. I leave it in overnight, or for a few hours. When I remove the buns, the hair is wavy.
