How do i get an apprenticeship in dubai as an aircraft engineer.?
Your question is interesting. According to Emirates Engineering procedures, apprenticeship or internship is open only for the UAE Nationals. However, they have as well a 2-year expatriate apprenticeship programme, designed for school leavers with the right to reside and work in Dubai. This programme includes classroom, workshop and on-the-job hangar training. Successful students can gain a GCAA / EASA Part 66 ‘A’ license. Approved aircraft type training is conducted on Airbus A310, A330-200, A340-300, A340-500 and the new A380-800 plus the Boeing B777-200, 200ER, 200LR, 300 and 300ER variants. What’s the difference? It’s really hard to tell. What I know is that the training facility within Emirates Engineering is being used by students from Emirates Aviation and those UAE nationals who are having their on the job training. I would say just fill-up the form and dont leave with blank answers. Though it’s a long shot, why not contact Emirates Aviation as well and see how it goes?
