How Do I Get a United States Passport?
The passport application process is only done IN PERSON at the City Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Passports take up to 4-6 working weeks to process. Applicants must bring the completed form, proof of identity, 2 passport size photos (2″ x 2″), previous passport (if available), and a certified copy or the original birth certificate or naturalization papers. The fee for a passport is $100.00. Applicant must bring TWO checks with them. The first is made out to United States Department of State in the amount of $75.00 and the second check must be made out to the City Clerk in the amount of $25.00. The City Clerk fee may also be paid in cash or money order. Persons under the age of 16 must have both parents sign the application form.
