[Top] Setting your AOL connection for use with the CD Toolkit. The AOL software will not let you make their custom web browser the default browser to your system. For example, when you click on an HTM or HTML document within a folder, AOL will not load up and display it but rather your default browser will. (Usually Internet Explorer since it is built into the windows system.) Therefore, the toolkit does not use AOL’s built in browser but rather it uses your systems default. This is not a problem since AOL will also let you use the default system browser to surf the Internet. To so, simply: 1> Connect to AOL. 2> Load the CD software which, when required, will load your system browser to access sites and other Internet information. However, if you experience problems using your system’s default browser when using AOL, the following should set your system back to the proper defaults: 1> Open up your “Control Panel” found under the “My Computer” icon.
