When you enroll in the Premium TransitChek Program, you will be asked a series of questions pertaining to your commute patterns. If you indicate that you use the MTA New York City Transit subway, for example, you will be offered the choice of receiving an annual Premium TransitChek MetroCard. The Premium Card costs $89 a month and will be deducted from your salary before taxes each month. You will receive it by mail approximately one week before your first benefit month begins.
