How do I get a panopto recording to my course in Blackboard?
Once you create the video, and you see the view – edit – share links on the Panopto recorder screen, click on share. This will take you to a screen where you need to click on the “Allow Anyone to View” button. Once you click on this, you should see the red “Secure” text change to a green “open” text. This means that it is now available. You next step is to copy the link below the “Allow anyone to view” button and add that to a blackboard content area: • Once the Panopto link is copied as stated above, log into your blackboard course. • Click Control Panel. • Select a content area where you want to put the link. • Click on “+External Link” • Type a name for the video in the Name field. • Paste the URL of the video into the URL field. • Write text in the box if you wish. • Scroll down to the 3 Options area and click on the Yes button next to “Open in New Window” • Click Submit. Your students should now be able to view your Panopto video.
