How do I get a movile frozen dessert permit?
The mobile frozen dessert permit (ice-cream truck vendors) applications are available in the Administrative off Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There is a $25.00 fee. Applications must be filled out and all critera met before permit is approved by the Safety Service Director. • Each vehicle has to have a driver who is at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. • Each vehicle shall be accompanied by at least one employee to assist in sales and observation of traffic. • Outer garments or uniforms are affirmed to be clean and to display the name of the employer. • A copy of a current and valid food establishment permit issued by the Health District authorities is needed. • Proof of at least $300,000.00 bodily injury and property damage insurance is shown. • A copy of an inspection of the vehicle by someone qualified to do so is attached showing: • in letters of not less than two inches, the vehicle displays the prodcut names, the manufacturer, and the employer’s name
