How do i get a job in Falconry?
You need to know someone who is activily into falconry. I don’t believe you get a job in it tho…check with your local game and fish or wildlife refuges. That person will help you. You need to study and know falcons, how to care for and manage them and how to properly feed them. Then you take a test to prove that knowledge. You need to build an appropriate pen to house the bird and have that pen examined. Then you need to catch a red tail hawk or kestrel…those are your beginning birds. (again this is where the falconer helps you and guides) After your bird is caught you need to begin training it to hunt etc. You would do this with help and at this point you are considered a falconer apprentice. Once you successfully train, care for and hunt with your bird you graduate to the next level. Your bird can be set back free. Once you have demonstrated your knowledge of falcons and birds of prey you are added to a contact list so that if any injured birds get found/brought in those people a
