How do I get a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Licence?
Application forms are available from the Abbey Road Depot, Wrexham. There is a 10 year age limit on Hackney Carriage Vehicles. There is no age limit on Private Hire vehicles but they must comply with the Council’s vehicle conditions. Tests are undertaken at Abbey Road Depot, ring 01978 729600 for an appointment. Once plated, vehicles have to pass two tests a year, the first test for annual plates and second test for a 6 month compliance check. There is a fee.
