How do I get a DJ license?

0

In the US there is no requirement for anyone at a radio station to have any form of FCC license. Many dj’s have College degrees, many more do not. There are some fair radio schools that will teach the mechanics, but rarely teach the real bread and butter. You learn that on the job, starting in smaller stations and working your way up. Watch the pros that you admire, learn from them but develop your own style. The old 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class licenses are gone for 20 years. a General Radio Telephone license is a good idea for those wanting to be radio engineers, but it’s not really needed in broadcast radio anymore.
