How Do I Get A Criminal Record Clearance Certificate in the UK?
The Association of Chief Police Officers in the UK will issue criminal record clearance certificates for persons who need a clearance certificate for immigration purposes. Requests for certificates take between two and ten working days to process. The cost is £35.00 for standard ten day service and £70.00 for premium two day service. Additional copies of the certificate cost £5.00 each. Access the Association of Chief Police Officers website. Click “Police Certificates” on the left side of the page. Download the application and fill it out. Be sure to sign and date your application. Get your photo endorsed. Have someone who has known you for at least two years endorse your photo on the back with the statement “I certify this to be a true likeness of (your full name).” Have them sign and date the photo as well as the declaration page on the application.
