Certification and licensing are two different issues. Licensing is normally a state or local requirement, so you should check with licensing bureaus in your local area, or your state inspections and licensing offices. Certification normally results in being a “Certified Safety Professional” through the American Society of Safety Engineers. Their website has the specifics.
