How do I get a certain surface composition when using mixed monolayers?
Conceptually creating mixed monolayers is as simple as mixing the desired thiols in the correct proportions, placing a substrate in the solution to assemble, and allowing it to sit for a given amount of time. However in practice, it is often not this simple. The reason for this is that thiols assemble at different rates depending on the chain length and head group.
