How do I get a car insurance discount as a regular transit rider?
A. If you get your car insurance through Harvard’s discounted plan (MetLife Auto and Home), you may submit statements from the MBTA Pass order site at www.commuterchoice.harvard.edu. From the CommuterChoice homepage, click on “Manage Your Account”. From the pass order site, click on “Order History” and print down your history of pass orders. You can submit this as proof of purchase of 11 or 12 MBTA passes during your plan year to qualify for the transit discount. All other auto insurance plan holders should contact their insurer for eligibility.
