How do I generate laser labels from a delimited text file?
• Open Microsoft Word • Click ‘Tools’ on the Menu Bar • Point to ‘Letters and Mailings’ • Click ‘Mail Merge’ (Wizard opens on the right side of the screen) • Select ‘Labels’ as the document type • Click ‘Next: Starting document’ on the bottom • Select ‘Change document layout’ • Click ‘Label options…’ and Set the options as desired then Click ‘OK’ For example: Laser and ink jet, Tray: Manual Paper Feed, Label products: Avery standard, Product number: 5160 – Address. • Click ‘Next: Select recipients’ on the bottom • Select ‘Use an existing list’ • Click ‘Browse’ to locate the delimited/address file, edit as necessary, Click ‘OK’ You may need to change the Look in/Location and the Files of Type to ‘All files’ to locate the file. • Click ‘Next: Arrange your labels’ on the bottom • Click ‘Address block…’ make changes as necessary • Click ‘Match Fields…
