How do I frame& display a quilt block?
Choose a FrameSelect a standard picture frame that coordinates with the quilt block colors. The frame should be slightly smaller than the quilt block and should include a card board insert roughly the same size as the glass. This cardboard insert is crucial to creating a sturdy quilt block picture.Center the Quilt BlockUse the cardboard insert as a foundation material. Place the quilt block, front side down, on a flat surface. Center the cardboard insert over the top of the quilt block. Allow the fabric to slightly overlap the insert edges by about ½-inch. If necessary, trim any excess fabric.Tape and DisplayCarefully wrap the edges of the quilt block around the cardboard backing. With double sided tape, tape it into place. Insert the quilt block into the frame behind the glass. Ensure the quilt block is secure before placing the frame backing back onto the outside back of the picture frame.
