How Do I Format Windows Millennium?
Windows ME, also known as Windows Millennium Edition, allows you to format a hard disk using a built-in utility. Formatting the hard drive will erase everything that is stored on it, including the Windows ME operating system. To format the hard drive using the Millennium Edition operating system, you must have the Windows ME CD and the boot disk that came with the software. Back up any documents or files that you wish to keep before formatting the hard drive on which Windows ME is installed. Formatting this hard drive will erase all of the files on the drive. Load the Windows ME boot disk into your computer’s floppy disk drive. Insert the Windows ME CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. Reboot your computer. As it reboots, select “Start Windows with CD-ROM support” from the list of options.
