How do I format my Hard Drive with Vista?

0

If you want to go the disc route, you have to actually start the install process, and then when you get to the point of where to install Vista you get the option to reformat the drive. You can then cancel out of the install. Or you can do what the other person said and right click the drive and “format” Or you can go into your Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>Computer management>>disk management and format from there.

well all computers like dell come with a recovery partition after 2005,on both xp/vista,its located in a secret partition ,this is how you do it,restart computer, have your left finger on the left CTRL key and hold it before u restart computer, and cont i- holding it,until the blue bar on top comes up on the screen, when the blue bar pops up,start tapping f11,while holding the ctrl key,and if u get through it’ll take you to the dell recovery partition where u can can restore to factory settings, this is NORTON RESTORE GHOST,click recovery to start the process, the computer will manage it self after you click recovery, follow the instructions on the screen.the video below is the same im showing you. good luck P.S whatever you do DO NOT INSTALL THE VISTA DISK ON TOP OF THE ALREADY INSTALLED VISTA PROGRAMING,OR YOU’LL HAVE A WORST HEADACHE, IT’LL ERASE THE FORMER PARTITION ON THE HARD DRIVEthen you wont be able to use the partition ever again,it will add a T.O.
