Look at the Interview Options you have set for your questionnaire; go to the Options|Interviews, Identifier tab in the Design Studio. You will see that the variable name for Subject ID is SUBJECT. This is a system default; QDS requires a unique identifier for each survey as lack of an identifier makes data management more difficult. If you do not want to include a Subject ID variable, just blank out that item on the Identifier Variables tab. Keep in mind that this option is best for testing only.
