waiting to give the ok for the dealer to fix for 182.00 or have my dad do it! A: Your Dad could very easily install the sensors himself. When looking at the front of the car he will need to crawl under near the driver side of the vehicle. Since the Neon sits low to the ground and your Dad has the middle age belly people our age suffer from, he will need to jack up the car and SUPPORT IT WITH JACKSTANDS! The input and out put sensors are both on the front of the transaxle and are visible from underneath. He will need to uplug each one and using a 1 1/16″ wrench, slowly unthread each one. A little fluid will run out so have some rags handy. Make sure the new ones are clean and have the O ring on them and then thread them back in. Plug them in and lower the car. Check the fluid level with the engine warm and running. Then it is done. I am guessing the reason for replacement is the transmission wasn’t shifting, or the speedo wasn’t working. You may still have a check engine light after rep
