How do I fix the black screen problem when capturing video sources from a Windows Media player?
IMPORTANT: The College is allowing you to change the settings in your desktop to provide you with the ability to record your own images and electronic media on Camtasia Relay. However, you are expressly prohibited from displaying any copyrighted materials that you do not own either on the Internet or any other electronic media. If you intend to display any media other than your own images or electronic media, you will need to contact the Office of Legal Services for a legal interpretation regarding the use of the material. Uncheck Use overlays for the Win Media Player Advanced Perfomance options for both Video acceleration and DVD video as shown in the figure. This is for faculty who want to capture video sources using Camtasia. Every time you want to capture video playback, be sure Use overlays is unchecked in both locations. You must use this player to play DVDs for the changes to have any effect on capturing DVD video.
