You aren’t alone… The instructions below have worked for quite a few people. First of all, back up your registry. Click the START button, then click Run, then type in regedit and press the ENTER key. This will start the registry editor. • Click the + sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE • Click the + sign next to Software • Click the + sign next to Microsoft • Click on Shared Tools Now double click the SharedFilesDir key in the right window pane. • Press the END key on your keyboard. • Add a \ (backslash) to the end of the Value Data line. • Press ENTER or Press the OK button. The final value should then look like this: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ Close Regedit. Please be very careful while editing the registry, and always remember to back it up first.
