How Do I Fix My Remote Control Car?
Although a remote control (R/C) car can be a lot of fun to play with, it can develop a problem where the servo gear set becomes damaged and stops working correctly. This causes the R/C car to cease functioning. Replacing the servo gear set of an R/C car yourself will not only fix the problem, but will get you back to being able to enjoy racing the car without wires again. The repair can be done within a few hours. Step 1 Put the clean cloth down on a work surface. Turn the R/C car upside down and put it on the clean cloth. Remove the servo case from the side of the drive shaft using the jeweler’s Phillips screwdriver. Put the screws aside. Remove the servo horn that is attached to the output shaft of the servo casing. Clean around the outside of the servo casing with the lint-free cloth. Clean around the area where the shaft exits the servo case with the cotton swab. Step 2 Unscrew the top of the servo case from the bottom using the jeweler’s Phillips screwdriver. Put the screws aside.
