How Do I Fix My Fridge?
That’s daring! Necessity is the mother of invention!! I would suggest you call a general electrician as a first-aid until the fridge technician arrives. The problem in most cases would be the failure at the inlet plug-points from the source to the fridge! If the problem is beyond this, then it is the fridge technician’s job.
First check the breaker. If that isn’t the problem then get an ice chest and place your perishable food in it. Then call an appliance repairman…he’ll be able to tell you what the problem is and if it is worth fixing or of you should just replace the fridge. If you need to replace the fridge…then you can go new or you can look up used appliance stores and they will probably take your old fridge in as a trade in. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
To keep the food for as long as possible, don’t open the door (good for a while, but maybe not this long). Try to move your food to friends’ fridges. There’s not much you could do to fix it unless it is very simple like the plug has come out or a fuse has blown. You could buy lots of ice. (Before fridges there ere ice boxes) Maybe replace it with a second hand one. (may not be much different from the cost of a new compressor).
