How do I fix a small windshield crack?
would suggest calling glass shop and asking what they would charge to fix it…….should b about 40 bucks or less…. fix-a-windshield only works on chips and such as it does NOT stop a crack from spreading…. also hate to tell u this but usually u CANNOT fix cracks that are longer than 2 inches…..and most glass shops actually say 1 inch…..but call and ask…
You can tap it with your finger and watch it run all over the windshield. Heat, cold and movement are going to do that anyway. If you want a cheap good window replacement, use the mobile service guy who comes to your home or place of work. It’s a pretty fast fix. If you can, try to find out which mobile service the sheriff deputies or cops use. They have replacements done all the time, so their service guy has an automatic recommendation. Even if it cracks all over, it’s not going to fall out with normal driving. So you got some time. There is no kit or fix that will stop it. Even a crack as small as a quarter inch off a chip is a big doubtful for heat fusing.
