It depends where it’s leaking. If it’s driping, you need to replace the washer in the seat. It can be an “O” ring or flat rubber type washer. Turn water off either with in-line valve or main water supply. Open faucet to make sure water is turned off. Take the handle to the faucet off. There may be a conceiling screw under a cap. Pry the covr off to expose screw. Then remove the cap crown to the stem. Use a smooth wrench. Don’t use anything with teeth as you may damage the crown cap. Slide handle back onto stem and unscrew stem. The washer will be on the stem. It is important to replace the washer with an exact match. You can get the washers at a plumbing supply house, good hardware or big box store. If you can pick and choose the washer it is better than buying a mixed set as you will waste all the washers you don’t use. Re-assemble. IMPORTANT! When you put the stem back in, do not tighten it to the seat. Turn it about half way down then put the cap back on, then handle and then reseat
