How do I find the center of rotation of the elbow for correct placement of the Elbow Fixator?

This is very important for correct positioning of the device. For acute trauma, a true lateral image of the distal humerus must be obtained with the image intensifier. A 2 mm Kirschner wire is inserted percutaneously from the radial side for about 2 cm, in the middle of the circle formed by the distal humerus. The central connecting unit is slid over the Kirschner wire and the fixator used as its own template for insertion of the screws. For the treatment of elbow stiffness the wire should be placed slightly differently. Please see our manual.
