How do i find out whos number it is?
I get this quite a bit (also on my landline) and I simply “Google” the whole number. What this will do is throw up the area the area code is for (in case you didn’t recognise this either) and, possibly, a connection. On more than one occasion I have had sites which log suspicious (scamming) numbers come up and I have been able to add information to help the organisation which seeks to alert the user of the scams which use the phone to trick us. But of course- one of the simplest ways is simply to ring them back, probably best from a landline (cheaper as well) with 141 (in the UK) to hide your number if you would prefer them not to know who you are.
