One large archive of social science data is the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, or ICPSR. You can go to the ICPSR page for a listing of the available data. To see the types of data on the site, go to “Search Full Data Holdings” and then choose “Browse our subject areas”. Some of the datasets can be downloaded freely, while others are restricted to authorized users. NYU is an authorized user, so you will be able to access the data by first sending a message to the Politics Data Center staff at fas.pol.computing@nyu.edu so that the data can be requested through NYU Information Technology Services. You will need to provide specific information, including the study number, the study name, and, if applicable, which data format you prefer (if more than one is available for that particular dataset).

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
